Mom Who Injects 8-Year-Old With Botox Being Investigated
Authorities in California are investigating a mother – who’s creating a firestorm of controversy – for admitting that she injects her 8-year-old daughter with the anti-wrinkle drug Botox.
After Kerry Campbell appeared with her daughter Thursday on ABC's "Good Morning America,” San Francisco’s Child Protective Services was flooded with hundreds of calls from people concerned about the girl’s well-being.
Trent Rhorer with the city's Human Services Agency tells KGO-TV that officials need to sit down and talk with Campbell and her daughter, Britney.
Campbell enrolls Britney in beauty pageants and says she got the idea to give her daughter Botox from other pageant mothers.
Botox injections can be painful and are not recommended for anyone under the age of 18.

This falls under the “what are you thinking” category. Will you teach her to binge and purge next? Nothing….NOTHING is this important. This mother also stated on GMA that she had waxed this little girl. Body hair is not a crime and there was a time when dimples and facial expressions were cute. Shame on everyone associated with these pageants. Are you really going to tell us that the Judges, parents and assorted others orbiting this environment are not and have not been aware of this? We don’t allow our athletes to dope up. Why is it OK to inject our children with poison so they can win a sash and a trophy? To those who get this carried away; get a life and let your children live theirs. What a disgusting statement about our society !
This makes me sick! When are we going to stop pressuring our kids to be adults before their time? Life is hard enough when we grow up. Kids should be able to be silly, laugh, and just be kids.
