Driving while on the phone is a dangerous practice, and many states in the U.S. have banned talking or texting behind the wheel. But this bus driver in Rome really takes it to the extreme -- steering with his elbows while using two phones simultaneously.
According to the Guardian, the driver was getting instructions on his cell phone about how to set up email on his smartphone, and has been suspended from duty.

Blame the bus, not the driver. This bus should be equipped with a crash avoidance system, auto braking technology and if you look closely the steering wheel doesn’t even have an airbag. You would think that in this age, when many people carry at least two cell phones and are forced to answer them, make phone calls, text and play games on them, that auto companies would make smarter vehicles. When will our modes of transportation catch up with our phones? I feel bad for this driver. He could have done so much more with his two phones if he didn’t have to turn that wheel, operate the brakes, and look out the front windows. If you notice the windshield isn’t even tinted. How is he supposed to see the screen on his phones in that kind of backlight? These are poor working conditions; I hope one of the Italian bus drivers will report this. How are they supposed to drive their passengers safely from stop to stop and still be able to use two or three cell phones at the same time?
